On behalf of the conference organising committee, welcome to IHPA’s Activity Based Funding Conference 2017 and the 33rd Patient Classification Systems International Conference 2017 in Sydney, Australia.
We are delighted to be providing a joint conference between IHPA and PCSI. This conference offers a unique platform for healthcare professionals involved in activity based funding in Australia to meet with and share experiences with the international patient classification and casemix community.
The focus of this five day event will be ‘Advancing value based health care’. This will include an exploration of both patient activity and patient costs and how this combined data can be used to manage hospitals and health care systems including initiatives in pricing for safety and quality.
The event will commence with two days of workshops – including hospital site visits – followed by a three day conference. The conference will consist of a variety of local and international keynote speakers, concurrent abstract presentations, and specialist and panellist sessions.
The concurrent abstract sessions will provide an opportunity for health professionals working in all realms of activity based funding and casemix to present and discuss their work with their peers.
A number of keynote speakers have been invited to take part in the conference and more information on confirmed speakers can be found in the speaker section on the website.
We look forward to welcoming you to Sydney in October.
